The literal translation of ‘jeunesse’ from French to English is ‘young’ or ‘youthfulness’. D’jeunesse is “of youth” a range capturing that enigmatic ‘Essence of Youth’. It is a French expression that echoes the desire of women to remain young; reflective of that timeless search for an elusive elixir.

The D'jeunesse logo incorporates a pink orchid. Orchids are a long-lasting and particularly elegant type of flower. They grow naturally in many different locations and climates around the world (on every continent except Antarctica!) and yet despite their versatility, there is something distinctly exotic about orchids. Their rare, intricate beauty captivates the everyday flower lover and they’re considered to be some of the world’s most evolved flowers by flower specialists.

 

The most highly coveted of ornamental plants, the delicate, exotic and graceful orchid represents love, luxury, beauty and strength. Their charm and mystique have secured this flower as the most popular adornment for the home. The Formulator

Amie Skilton began her studies in Naturopathy, Herbal Medicine, and Clinical Nutrition moving onto become a Reiki Master and Beauty Therapist. She was born with a passion for all things health and wellbeing; it was her calling to practice natural medicine. Amie has practiced privately for almost ten years and during this time specialised in several areas including women’s health and hormones, weight loss and skin conditions.

 

Amie suffered with skin problems growing up and, like many women, searched high and low for a solution to suit her.  After trying everything there was on offer – from retail to professional, prescription to all natural – she was left disappointed and disillusioned. The natural ranges she tried were not particularly effective and those products that did have an effect were often harsh or contained chemicals she was not happy to use on her body.

 

During the course of her studies Amie unearthed the keys to vibrant, glowing skin and, with nothing available on the market she’d be happy to recommend, began custom-making skincare for clients and recommending oral supplements to correct and protect.

 

Amie recognised the need for truly effective, truly natural skincare - and with a background boasting extensive training and experience coupled with a senior technical position at BioCeuticalsä an opportunity was born.
